Hard to find Specialty Tools, Consumables and Marine Hardware direct to NZ.

Practical consumables, specialist renovation gear for the DIY homeowner, and marine fittings sourced globally, stocked right here in Wellington.

Burnt Thumb Group Ltd was set up 2010 here in Wellington, New Zealand. I can hear you ask, where did the name come from?

While trying to come up with a name for my new business, I was baking a bacon and egg pie, and I burnt my thumb taking it out of the oven!

I have an interest in renovating houses, especially my 120 year old cottage and I'm also updating and continually working on my yacht, a Nova28 called Cruise Mode, so this site is full of the weird tools that can come in handy, consumables that add up dollar wise when you buy a few at a time and always need more. I have also got some marine fittings that are common but are well priced compared to traditional stores.
If there's something you want but can't find anywhere, send me an email through the contact page and I'll have a look around for it as I work with suppliers all round the world.
All products listed have an Availability number, meaning stock units held in stock and if it's Zero it defaults to Pre-Order which just email's me, no commitment and I'll let you know when it's back in stock.
Have a look around and keep coming back as new lines are added all the time and if you want something in particular that's not here, drop me a line.
Have a great day, Kevin
